Lost and Finding Joy

ME: Look at what’s happening. Am I strong enough to endure to the end?

GOD: What do you want me to look at? What do you see?

ME: I see people losing their way. I see the world in chaos. I see division. I see pure evil.

GOD: Look again. Can you see anything else?

ME: I see people hurting. I see pictures of war. I see families torn apart. I see bad things.

GOD: Look for the helpers. Look for what’s good. Tell me what you see.

ME: I see people helping the homeless. I see people praying. I see families growing stronger. I see hope for the future.

GOD: “It’s not what you look at. It’s what you see.” Keep looking for what’s good and be like the helpers, so you will have the strength to endure to the end.
